Muslims Blend Traditions

He purposely made nations and tribes so that we could know each other [because in] knowing each other, there is benefit. It's a recommendation to know one another, and it's an opportunity he's given us to learn and grow and become better people.

Charlotte-area Muslims come from many different countries, each with its own style of worship. At area musallas, Muslims work to blend these different traditions into services where everyone can worship in comfort.

"O mankind! We created you from a single pair, male and female, and made you into nations and tribes, so that you may come to know one another, and not to despise each other. Verily the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). (Qur'an, 49:13)
