Indian Food

I had lunch from Copper for the first time last week and it was fantastic! I don't eat a lot of Indian food, and I have a pretty low tolerance for spicy dishes, but this was excellent. If you've never been, Copper is located at 311 East Blvd., very close to the intersection of South and East.

Posted to: Indian Food Show Thread | Post Reply

Could you tell us more about Beef on Weck, for those who aren't familiar? Thanks!

Posted to: Beef on Weck Show Thread | Post Reply

I finally found Kavkaz

From Kathy Ochs:

I finally found Kavkaz. The "Middle Eastern & Eastern European Cuisine" restaurant that is on Stallings Road right off of Independence. If you haven't been there take Independence towards Monroe, make a right on Stallings Rd. Go down about a block and it's across from the water tower.

You must go. Lunch today was marvelous. It's really an Armenian restaurant. They almost have their full liquor license. This Sunday evening they will have live music. So far just a soft opening. Grand Opening should happen next weekend (?). Very nice people working very hard to please and very grateful for the business. We have to help this one survive.

Posted to: I finally found Kavkaz Show Thread | Post Reply

Beef on Weck

A decent version of beef on weck can also be found at Matthews Township Grill, at Independence and Hwy 51, for those of us who recoil from the I-77 parking lot.

Mary Good

Posted to: Beef on Weck Show Thread | Post Reply

Pick Your Own

The Charlotte Observer (Kathleen Purvis) published a Pick Your Own Produce listing today - a lot of these are area family farms. Stawberries, blueberries, cantaloupes, tomatoes, peas, corn, muscadines, scuppernongs, peaches... my mouth is watering!

http://www.charlotteobserver.com/data/story/99618.html

Posted to: Pick Your Own Show Thread | Post Reply
