From June 19-21, check out the Juneteenth Festival of the Carolinas, which takes place at Independence Park on 7th Street just a mile from Levine Museum. Asian Festival and Dragon Boat Race!

Charlotte Indian Festival

My husband and I attended the Charlotte Indian Festival in 2008 and had a fantastic time. Amazing performances and absolutely wonderful food. I saw that they have a website up for this year's event on September 5-6, 2009.
